Grey literature can provide an important perspective in your research, but finding grey literature on an emerging topic such as CER, PCOR, or clinical informatics can be very challenging. To help address this issue, the EDM Forum conducted a structured review of the grey – or non-commercial- literature on using electronic clinical data (ECD) for CER in our new issue brief, "Building the Informatics Infrastructure for CER: A Review of the Grey Literature."
The brief includes a structured, reproducible methodology for searching the grey literature on using electronic clinical data (ECD) for CER; a characterization of the literature based on the volume, focus, and gaps; and, next steps for developing search strategies and quality issues in the grey literature. The EDM Forum welcomes your feedback on this topic.
